Oilers invite former Canuck to camp on PTO

Per Jason Gregor, the Edmonton Oilers have invited free agent forward Justin Bailey to camp this Fall on a professional tryout offer (PTO).

Bailey, 27, split the 2021-22 season between the Vancouver Canucks and their American Hockey League affiliate Abbotsford Canucks. In 14 games at the NHL level he was held pointless, while in 30 games in Abbotsford he recorded a much more impressive 15 goals and 27 points.

Bailey, who was drafted in the second-round (52 overall) in the 2013 draft, has accumulated 82 career games in the NHL, which has included stints with the Buffalo Sabres, Philadelphia Flyers and of course the Canucks. In those 82 games, he has registered five goals and nine points.
