Denmark quickly came back to earth at the IIHF World Championships taking place in Finland Tuesday after a big upset win over Canada on Monday. The Danes took on Team Slovakia and were handed a beating with the game ending 7-1 for the Slovaks. Denmark's Markus Lauridsen was really frustrated in the third after another goal against, and took out his anger on the arena glass, breaking it in the process. He'd get a 10-minute misconduct for Unsportsmanlike Conduct, which ended his game completely.

Lauridsen wanted to stay in the box for the penalty despite not being able to come back to the game. The referees for the match were fine with it, but the Timekeeper was not. Lauridsen was forced to wait in the tunnel until the game ended, when he came back to the ice to be named one of Denmark's Players of the Game. He assisted on Denmark's only goal, which was scored by Joachim Blichfeld. Canada lost to Denmark 3-2 on Monday.
