Sweden adds pair of NHLers to World Championship roster

Team Sweden announced on Wednesday they they've added a pair of NHLers to their 2022 World Championship roster.

After both their teams were eliminated from the Stanley Cup Playoffs, Los Angeles Kings forward Carl Grundstrom and Dallas Stars forward Jacob Peterson will join the team in Tampere and could be in the lineup against Finland on Wednesday.

Peterson, 22, just completed his rookie campaign in the NHL. In 65 regular season games, he had seventeen points (twelve goals, five assists), twelve penalty minutes and was a minus-one.

As for Grundstrom, he appeared in 54 games for the Kings this season, putting up fifteen points (nine goals, six assists), 26 penalty minutes and was a plus-four. He added four points (three goals, one assist) in six playoff games.
