After being eliminated by the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday evening, no players on the Boston Bruins were happy with the way their season went. With that being said, however, one in particular who was extremely frustrated was Anton Blidh.

Blidh, 27, has been a part of the Bruins organization since being drafted in the sixth-round back in 2013, and appeared in a career high 32 games this season. It appeared that re-upping with the organization this past summer on a one-year, $750,000 deal had finally paid off, as he was starting to earn some more regular minutes with the Bruins than in years past. However, that changed in the playoffs, as he was a healthy scratch in each of his teams seven games. He has made it clear since that he is not happy about being held out of the lineup.

"I didn't sign here to sit in the press box," Blidh told reporters.

The Swedish forward, who is set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason, went on to say that his goal is to remain in the NHL. Given these comments, it seems unlikely that he will return to the Bruins. Whether another team is willing to give him a shot for the 2022-23 season remains to be seen.
