Calgary Flames' defenseman Nikita Zadorov has been summoned by the Department of Player Safety (DoPS) to have a hearing today for an illegal check to the head on Dallas Stars forward Luke Glendening during last night's Game 6 matchup between the two teams.

Zadorov delivered the hit just 4 minutes into the second period of last night's game. Glendening immediately went to the locker room to be evaluated for a concussion.

Dallas Stars' captain Jamie Benn took exception to the hit and approached Zadorov several times throughout the remainder of the game. It seemed like every scrum had the two players chirping at one another.

Zadorov took another penalty late in his team's losing effort. As he left the ice, he pointed to Benn saying, "I'm coming for you. I'm coming."

It's unclear at this point if Zadorov will have an opportunity in this series to fulfill such a promise. We expect the DoPS to rule on this hit later today - always giving teams of offending players adequate time to adjust their lineups. The decisive Game 7 that will end one of the Flames or Stars' season comes to us tomorrow, at 9:30pm EST on Sunday.
