NHL announces 32 nominees for 2022 King Clancy Memorial Trophy

On Wednesday, the National Hockey League announced the 32 nominees for the 2022 King Clancy Memorial Trophy. The award is given annually to "the player who best exemplifies leadership qualities on and off the ice and has made a noteworthy humanitarian contribution in his community."

The winner of the award will be given a $25,000 donation to the charity of their choice, while the two runner-ups will be given a $5,000 donation to the charity of their choice.

The winner will be announced during the awards ceremony, which is set to be held between Games 3 and 4 of the Stanley Cup Final.
