The Montreal Canadiens announced on Wednesday that they've agreed to terms on a three-year, entry-level contract with 2021 second round pick Riley Kidney. Kidney will earn $750,000 for the first two years of the contract and $775,000 for the final year.

Kidney, 19, spent the 2021-22 season with the Acadie-Bathurst Titan in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League where he put up 100 points (30 goals, 70 assists), 56 penalty minutes, and was a plus-thirteen in 66 games.

It's too early to say where Kidney will end up next season, whether it be back in the QMJHL or in the American Hockey League with the Laval Rocket, but given his play this season, it appears he may be ready to make the jump to professional hockey.
