The Washington Capitals will be honoring Alex Ovechkin for passing Jaromir Jagr for third on the NHL's all-time goals list prior to their game on Tuesday, April 26 versus the New York Islanders.

It is going to be such a special night that Caps owner Ted Leonsis will be on the ice during the pregame ceremony to help honor the Russian legend. Ovechkin will also be receiving some sort of gift from the organization for his impact.

Ovechkin is also now the highest European goal scorer in NHL history, and trails only Gordie Howe (801) and Wayne Gretzky (894) for the most goals all-time.
