The National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced on Sunday that Montreal Canadiens rookie forward Michael Pezzetta will have a hearing on Monday for an illegal check to the head of Washington Capitals forward T.J. Oshie.

The incident occurred late in the third period during Saturday night's contest between the Canadiens and Capitals. Pezzetta went to make a late hit along the boards on Oshie and he catches the Capitals forward in the head with his shoulder. Pezzetta was given a two-minute minor for an illegal check to the head on the play.

Pezzetta, 24, has appeared in 47 games this season for the Canadiens, tallying eight points (five goals, three assists), 74 penalty minutes, and is a minus-eight.
