The San Jose Sharks announced on Saturday afternoon that they've agreed to terms on a three-year, entry-level contract with 2020 second round pick Thomas Bordeleau.

Bordeleau, 20, spent the 2021-22 season in the NCAA with the University of Michigan where he tallied 37 points (12 goals, 25 assists), 35 penalty minutes, and was a plus-18 in 37 games. Following the conclusion of his season at Michigan, Bordeleau signed an amateur tryout contract (ATO) with San Jose's AHL affiliate, and appeared in two games with them.

"Thomas is a skilled playmaker with a high hockey IQ at both ends of the ice," said Interim General Manager Joe Will. "He consistently shows up in high-level competition and has a history of playing his best in crucial moments."

The Houston (Texas) native will join up with the San Jose Sharks in Minnesota, ahead of their game on Sunday evening and could be available to play.
