Vancouver's chances of making the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs have gotten even smaller after the announcement of Bo Horvat's status going forward. On Friday night, the Canucks issued a pair of injury updates on forwards Bo Horvat and Nils Hoglander.

Bo Horvat will miss the next two weeks with a lower-body injury after he blocked a shot with his ankle during Thursday night's 7-1 win over the Arizona Coyotes.

The 27-year-old's season is now likely over, unless the Canucks find a way to climb into a playoff spot with seven games remaining. In 70 games this season, Horvat had 52 points (31 goals, 21 assists), 40 penalty minutes, and was a plus-three.

As for Höglander, he is out indefinitely after having successful surgery to repair a core muscle/groin injury, the Canucks say. The Bocktrask (Sweden) native is in his second season with the Vancouver Canucks, and recorded eighteen points (ten goals, eight assists), 24 penalty minutes, and was a minus-seven in 60 games.

The Canucks will be back in action on Monday night when they host the Dallas Stars.
