The Montreal Canadiens took to the ice for the morning skate at their practice facility in Brossard on Friday, and in the starter's net was Carey Price.

This means, barring any setbacks today following practice, Carey Price will make his return to the crease tonight against the New York Islanders. It will be his first appearance since Game 5 of the 2021 Stanley Cup Final, last July.

Price, 34, has yet to play during the 2021-22 season due to knee surgery he had last summer following the Stanley Cup Final, and because he spent one month in the NHL-NHLPA Player Assistance Program.

Puck drop for Carey Price's return is set for 7 p.m. ET on TSN and RDS.
