During the warm-up of Saturday night's game between the Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Maple Leafs, a young fan by the name of Hunter was tossed a puck by Habs forward Nick Suzuki.

Hunter didn't catch the puck, and it hit him in the face, causing a small cut. Suzuki then came over to check if Hunter was okay, and decided to give Hunter one of his sticks.

It was a really kind move by Suzuki, but it soon turned into a bit of a mess because of the Scotiabank Arena staff.

In a tweet, Steven Beauparlant, presumably Hunter's father, posted pictures of Hunter and Nick Suzuki with the caption:

"#NickSuzuki #14ClassAct @CanadiensMTL. Thanks Nick for taking a selfie & making sure Hunter was ok after he didn't catch the puck you tossed him😂He loves the stick, puck autograph & Fat Lip😉A memory that will last a lifetime. Had to leave the game cause the stick wasn't aloud🤣"

Steven went on to say that the staff at Scotiabank Arena told him that they would have to leave because the stick was deemed "a weapon".

This sparked outrage from many within the Canadiens fanbase, and on Monday, the team reached out to Steven, to offer Hunter a Nick Suzuki jersey.

"Hello, we're glad to hear Hunter is doing well!

Our friends @TricoloreSports would like to send him a Nick Suzuki jersey! Could you please open your direct messages so we can get your contact information?"

It's nice to see that the Canadiens have reached out to the family, but this should have never happened. This is not a very good look for the staff at Scotiabank Arena.
