Tom Wilson drops the mitts with Brendan Smith (video)
It's safe to say Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson has had an eventful Monday night. He scored Washington's only goal of the game, a 6-1 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes, and had a massive hit on Vincent Trocheck.
Half-way through the third period, Wilson decided to drop the gloves with Hurricanes defenceman Brendan Smith, likely in response to that hit on Trocheck. The Capitals forward threw some heavy right hooks near the end of the lengthy tilt.
