There were some tense moments in Thursday night's game between the Vegas Golden Knights and Nashville Predators after Knights forward Brett Howden would require a stretcher to leave the ice. Howden went into the boards hard and awkwardly on a hit by Filip Forsberg. It appears he may have lost his footing even before the full impact of the hit and was down on one knee before being sent into the boards. Here's video of the collision. You can find video of the full incident at the end of this story.

Howden was on the ice for quite some time before medical staff attempted to move him. He would eventually leave on a stretcher and was transported to hospital. He appeared to be conscious while leaving the ice, and Vegas head coach Peter DeBoer said after the game that Howden had full movement and was in stable condition. He expected a full update some time on Friday.

Vegas defeated Nashville 6-1 in the game.
