Many Canadiens fans are extremely satisfied with the job that new general manager Kent Hughes has done thus far, and a former player, Benoit Pouliot seems to agree as well.

The former Hab went to Twitter to poke fun at Hughes, stating that he got him a five-year deal after a 35-point season as well as being a great person.

»Happy for Kent Hughes and everything he's done so far as a GM. Good for the Habs. People are surprised at how good he did at the deadline. I mean the man got me a 5year deal after a 35 pts season! Above all, he's an awesome human being!»

The Canadiens are currently last in the NHL, albeit being a much better team since the front office and coaching staff was retooled. In fact they have nearly caught up to both the Kraken and Coyotes who only lead by one point in the league standings with 44 points.
