Rangers acquire Andrew Copp from Winnipeg, Tyler Motte from Vancouver

The New York Rangers have made a big move right before the deadline. According to TSN's Darren Dreger, the Rangers have added centerman Andrew Copp from the Winnipeg Jets.

Copp, 27, has spent parts of eight seasons in the NHL, all with the Winnipeg Jets, who drafted him in the fourth round in 2013. In 56 games this season, the Ann Arbor (Michigan) native has 35 points (13 G, 22 A), eight penalty minutes, and is a plus-two.

According to Frank Seravalli of DailyFaceoff, the Rangers have also added forward Tyler Motte from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for a fourth round pick in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.

Motte, a native of St. Clair (Michigan), has fifteen points (seven goals, eight assists), 22 penalty minutes, and is a plus-three in 49 games this season.
