The NHL led by Gary Bettman decided to go with a new apparel provider for the upcoming season choosing fanatics to design their jerseys and merchandise. In the past fanatics has been unreliable in making a good product most notably this season with Major League Baseball (MLB) and making jerseys that are lower quality.
Now with Fanatics taking over as the sponsor of the NHL complaints have already begun as fans are being ripped off by the company for a poor product. Today a specific complaint comes in regard new Nashville Predator Steven Stamkos.
This summer Steven Stamkos ended his tenure with the Tampa Bay Lightning. On July 1st he set out and signed with the Nashville Predators joining Jonathan Marchessault and Brady Skjei as a part of a loaded free agent class for the team.
Of course, signing players of this caliber will lead to an uptick in jersey sales for these players. For Steven Stamkos in particular one fan went out and bought a new Nashville Predators jersey through Fanatics. When the jersey arrived at his house he was highly disappointed to see what he was given by Fanatics.

This is yet again another failure by Fanatics to treat their product with the proper care and attention it deserves. Instead, they continue to let a disappointing and flat-out unacceptable product be given to fans who care deeply about the sports and players they are choosing to invest in.
As the NHL season approaches the NHL and Gary Bettman will need to speak with Fanatics and let them know that things like this are unacceptable once the season begins.
