Canada will seek revenge over the United States in Wednesday's gold medal game

For the fourth consecutive Olympic Games and sixth overall, Canada and the United States will meet in the gold medal game for women's hockey.

Canada continues to dominate the competition, beating Switzerland in the semi-final by a score of 10-3. It was the fourth time in six games that Canada has put up double-digits. In their six games, Canada has scored 54 goals while only allowing eight.

Sarah Nurse led the way with four assists, while captain Marie-Philip Poulin scored twice. Ann-Renée Desbiens made ten saves on thirteen shots to earn her fourth win of the 2022 Olympics.

As for the United States, they defeated Finland in their semi-final match-up by a score of 4-1. The Finns kept it close and after the first period the score was tied at 0-0.

American netminder Alex Cavallini made 25 saves on 26 shots to earn the win, while Cayla Barnes and Hillary Knight both had a goal and an assist.

Canada will look for revenge from the 2018 Winter Olympics when the United States defeated them in a shootout to win their first gold medal since 1998. This year's gold medal game is set to get underway on Wednesday night at 11:10 p.m. ET.
