Montreal has had a host of problems in winning games this season, and one of the biggest has been in net. With both Carey Price and Jake Allen on the injured list, Sam Montembeault and Cayden Primeau are, unfortunately, not cutting it. On Saturday, the Canadiens made a trade for some help between the pipes.

Montreal has announced that that the club has traded Brandon Baddock to the Minnesota Wild in exchange for goaltender Andrew Hammond.

Hammond, 34, posted a 6-2-3 record in 11 games with the AHL's Iowa Wild this season, while recording a 2.44 goals-against average and a .908 save percentage.

The Surrey, BC native has played in 56 career games over five seasons in the NHL with the Ottawa Senators and Colorado Avalanche, posting a 27-15-6 record. He owns a career goals-against average of 2.31, along with a .923 save percentage and four shutouts.
