Bruins give update on Patrice Bergeron after incident involving Sidney Crosby
It looks like Boston Bruins captain Patrice Bergeron will miss some time after going into the boards following an incident involving Sidney Crosby during Tuesday night's game against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Here's the video. It looks like Crosby's skate gets underneath Bergeron's, causing him to go into the boards hard.
Bruins' coach Bruce Cassidy told reporters that Bergeron will not play in Thursday's game against the Carolina Hurricanes due to an upper-body injury. A further update is expected in the coming days.
"It's involving his head so we have to be careful," Cassidy said.
Bergeron left the game after the fall and did not return.
