Young goaltender dies following tragic fall from window
A sad story out of Russia after a 21-year-old goaltender died under tragic circumstances in the city of Yaroslavl. According to RIA Novotsi , Vladislav Zaitsev was killed after falling from a window.
There is no word at the moment on whether this was a tragic accident, or if foul play of some sort might be involved. Police are currently investigating the circumstances. Russian news organizations learned of the death after posts started flowing through social media channels.
Zaitzev had come up through the MHL, Russian's junior hockey league, with Yaroslavl's team. In 2019-20, he played with the Chekhov Russian Knights, another club in the MHL.
