The Montreal Canadiens announced on Monday morning that they've assigned forwards Rafael Harvey-Pinard, Jesse Ylonen and defenceman Gianni Fairbrother to the Laval Rocket of the American Hockey League.

All three players have been in the National Hockey League's COVID-19 protocol over the last couple of weeks. The trio have resumed practicing, and will possibly be available for Laval's next game on Wednesday against the Utica Comets.

Ylonen, 22, has appeared in seven games this season for the Canadiens. In those seven games, he's recorded two points (one goal, one assist), two penalty minutes and is a plus-two.

Harvey-Pinard, 23, made his NHL debut on December 28th against Tampa Bay and scored his first National Hockey League goal in that game. In three games, he's recorded one goal and is a minus-two.

While Fairbrother was recalled by the Canadiens on December 27th, he was placed on their taxi squad and didn't appear in any games.

The Canadiens will be back in action this afternoon at 4pm ET against the Arizona Coyotes.
