Jeff Carter is currently in his 17th season in the National Hockey League and he's set to become an unrestricted free agent in July. According to NHL scout Thomas Roost, it may be Carter's last season in the NHL.

Roost, who is a scout for National League club EHC Biel and the NHL's Central Scouting department, is reporting that Carter is gearing up for a move to Switzerland, with his likely destination to be HC Davos or SC Bern.

"A great NHL player will join our league," said NHL scout Thomas Roost on MySports. "NHL veteran Jeff Carter, Stanley Cup winner from 2012 and over 1000 games in the best league in the world, will almost certainly play in Switzerland next season. The frustrating thing about this information is that I don't know which team he's going to play for, I'm guessing Bern or Davos."

Carter, 37, has appeared in 31 games for the Penguins this season, and has played quite well. He's tallied 20 points (11 G, 9 A), 22 penalty minutes and is a minus-three.
