It looks like a suspension is coming for defenceman Chris Wideman of the Montreal Canadiens. In the third period of Wednesday night's game against the Boston Bruins, Wideman got tangled up with Erik Haula along the boards. As an official was attempting to seperate them, Wideman delivered a headbutt to Haula. Haula was livid after the incident and I can't say I blame him. Check it out:

The NHL's Department of Player Safety has announced that Wideman has a hearing Thursday for the incident. It doesn't appear that Wideman has any previous history so I don't expect anything long. Perhaps one or two games, but we'll have to wait for the official word from DoPS.
