The National Hockey League announced on Monday that they've fined Dallas Stars head coach Rick Bowness for his actions following Sunday's game against the St. Louis Blues.

"Dallas Stars head coach Rick Bowness has been fined $25,000 for his actions on the bench following NHL Game No. 629 in St. Louis on Sunday, Jan. 9.. The fine money goes to the NHL Foundation." The NHL said.

Bowness was unhappy with the officiating and a call given to defenceman Miro Heiskanen late in the third period. St. Louis scored on the powerplay with 29 seconds left in the third period and won the game by a score of 2-1.

"You were watching the game, you saw what happened," said Bowness post-game speaking to reporters. "They clearly pulled Miro down, grabbed his stick and pulled him down. That's my opinion. So, yeah."
