The NHL's trade deadline is just over ten weeks away and trade talks are starting to heat up on a number of players including Arizona Coyotes defenceman Jakob Chychrun.

On the 32 Thoughts segment during the second intermission on Hockey Night in Canada, Sportsnet insider Jeff Marek mentioned that at least ten teams have inquired with the Coyotes regarding Jakob Chychrun. Marek also said that the Los Angeles Kings, St. Louis Blues and Anaheim Ducks are potential fits for the 23-year old.

"I can confirm that at least 10 teams in the NHL have made enquiries about Jakob Chychrun," Marek said on Saturday. "A couple of offers have given the Coyotes cause for pause."

The Coyotes are seeking a big return for their star defenceman according to Marek. He says that Arizona wants a young player, high-end prospect and a first round pick.

Marek added, "So what the Coyotes are looking for is a young player, a high-end prospect plus a first-round pick. Teams we believe who have the assets and could do that and might be interested include the Los Angeles Kings, the St. Louis Blues and certainly the Anaheim Ducks, who might be losing Hampus Lindholm to unrestricted free agency at the end of the season."

Chychrun, Arizona's first round pick in 2016, has seven points (two goals, five assists), 30 penalty minutes and is a minus-29 in 26 games this season.
