The President of the International Ice Hockey Federation seems determined to finish what was started in Edmonton and Red Deer. Luc Tardif says he's not giving up hope on completing this year's World Juniors, despite the fact that the tournament was cut short on Wednesday.

"Luc Tardif says they will not give up and hope to work over the next month to try and have a 2022 World Junior championship at a later date," said Chris Peters of Daily Faceoff.

"I'm told when players were informed of the cancellation, they were also informed work will continue to find a possibility. Many challenges remain in actually hosting. June, July and August on the table per Tardif just now during the press conference," Peters continued.

The main complaint about this year's tournament and why it didn't work seems to be that players weren't in a bubble like last year. They were allowed to go from room to room, meet up in common arenas, and mix with other guests staying at the same hotels.
