The Ottawa Senators announced on Tuesday morning that they've signed 2021 first round pick (10th overall) Tyler Boucher to his three-year entry-level contract.

"We're pleased to have Tyler under contract," said Ottawa Senators general manager Pierre Dorion. "He's a power forward who plays a heavy, physical game. He's driven, is strong with the puck, has a big shot and goes hard to the net. His good hands in tight areas will be of particular benefit to him going forward. We expect him to be an important part of this team's future."

Boucher, 18, has left Boston University after only one semester and according to Chris Peters of DailyFaceoff, the expectation is that he will be loaned to the Ottawa 67s in the Ontario Hockey League. The 67s selected Boucher in the seventh round, 143rd overall in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection Draft.

The Haddonfield, New Jersey native appeared in eighteen games for Boston University before deciding to leave. In those eighteen games, he had three points (two goals, one assist), thirty-four penalty minutes and was a minus-six.
