Roger Rönnberg, head coach of Frolunda in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL), is not at all happy that players from his team will likely be taking part in the Olympics when NHL players aren't.

"If the NHL does not send players, then why should we do it?" said Rönnberg. "It feels very strange and illogical."

"I will do everything in my power not to let players go to an Olympics when the NHL does not let players go," he continued.

Rönnberg has a lot to lose now that NHLers won't be travelling to Beijing in February. According to Expressen.se, he will likely lose as many as six players for a total of nine games. Frolunda currently sits in third place overall in the SHL, but is just one point out of the top spot.

Unfortunately for Rönnberg, it appears there's little he can do.

"We have an agreement with the ice hockey association that we will follow," says SHL sports director Johan Hemlin.
