Seattle Kraken forward Brandon Tanev to miss rest of 2021-22 season

The Seattle Kraken announced on Monday afternoon that forward Brandon Tanev will miss the remainder of the 2021-22 season after suffering an ACL injury during December 18th's 5-3 loss to the Edmonton Oilers.

"UPDATE: #SeaKraken forward Brandon Tanev suffered a season-ending ACL injury during the team's matchup against the Edmonton Oilers on Dec. 18 at @ClimateArena Additional information on his surgery and recovery will be released when available," the Kraken said via their Twitter account.

Tanev, 29, was selected by the Seattle Kraken from the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2021 NHL Expansion Draft. In 30 games this season, the Toronto, Ontario native has fifteen points (nine goals, six assists), thirteen penalty minutes, and is a plus-four.
