Several more NHL players added to COVID protocol on Boxing Day

Before Christmas Day, around 80 NHLers were added to the league's COVID protocol list. On Boxing Day, many other were added, including some big names. According to Frank Seravalli, there was over 40 in total.

From the Toronto Maple Leafs, defenceman Jake Muzzin is now in COVID protocol.

The Bruins have added Charlie Coyle.

The Tampa Bay Lightning have added Pierre-Edouard Bellemare, Mikhail Sergachev, Andrei Vasilevskiy, Brian Elliott, and assistant coach Rob Zettler.

From the Dallas Stars, Radek Faksa, Miro Heiskanen, Joel Kiviranta, Michael Raffl and Jason Robertson, along with two support staff members, are now in the NHL's COVID-19 protocol. They join Jani Hakanpaa.

Head coach Don Granato and forwards Dylan Cozens and Mark Jankowski have been added from the Buffalo Sabres. All are said to be asymptomatic.

The New Jersey Devils added forward Tomas Tatar and goaltender John Gillies. At the same time, five other players were removed.

The Detroit Red Wings added forward Lucas Raymond and defenseman Nick Leddy. Forwards Robby Fabbri and Michael Rasmussen were removed.

From the Pittsburgh Penguins, Evan Rodrigues has been added to COVID protocol.
