In his first year of professional hockey, Montreal Canadiens prospect Frederik Dichow has enjoyed plenty of success with his club, Kristianstads IK, who play in Sweden's second division, HockeyAllsvenskan.

Dichow has appeared in 16 games for Kristianstads IK this season, where he has a record of 10-5-0 with a 2.02 G.A.A., a .932 save percentage, and three shutouts. The highlight of his season thus far was a 50-save shutout against Vaskterviks IK on December 18th.

His strong performances this season have caught the attention of many in Sweden, including SHL club Rogle BK. They've brought him in on a temporary loan while their main goaltender, Calle Clang, is away at the World Juniors with Team Sweden.

"Since Calle Clang is away at the World Juniors in Canada, Rögle gets temporary reinforcement on the goalkeeper side. The 20-year-old goalkeeper Frederik Dichow is on loan from HockeyAllsvenskan team Kristianstads IK, where he is playing his first season. The Danish-born goalkeeper is loaned to us for the home match against Djurgårdens IF on December 26th and for the away match against Leksands IF on December 28th," Rogle BK said in their press release.

The Vojens, Denmark native was a fifth round pick (138th overall) of the Montreal Canadiens in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. He's yet to sign his entry-level contract with the Canadiens, but if he continues his strong play for the rest of the season, there's a good chance he'll put pen to paper and eventually suit up for their AHL affiliate in Laval.
