Frederik Dichow isn't exactly a well-known name in the world of hockey, especially in North America. But, the 20-year-old Montreal Canadiens draft pick is turning some heads in the Swedish Hockey League this season, especially with his latest performance.

Dichow is playing with Kristianstads IK in the SHL right now, where he has a record of 9-5-0 in 15 games, a save percentage of .930 and a 2.16 goals against average. His latest game, in which his team took on Västervik, was very impressive as he stopped all 50 shots he faced for a shutout win. His own team managed just 18 shots in the 2-0 victory.

"What to say? A good match," said Dichow. "I took it one shot at a time. I was calm the whole match."

Asked if he's had a 50-save shutout before, Dichow said "Maybe when I was a junior, but that's probably the first time as a professional."

Dichow wasn't a high draft pick, going in the 5th round, 138th overall, in 2019. That said, he's certainly making his case so far this season to eventually make his way to either Laval or Montreal.
