The list of injuries for the Montreal Canadiens continues to get longer. The team has announced that forward Tyler Toffoli required surgery on his wrist, which was done on Wednesday. He is expected to be out for eight weeks, putting him back into the lineup sometime in February.

Meanwhile, forward Jake Evans was injured in the first period of Montreal's last game against the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday. He is being re-evaluated daily.

The Habs now have 14 players on the injury list, most on IR with a couple listed as day-to-day. Other than Toffoli and Evans, this includes Carey Price, Jeff Petry, Joel Edmundson, Christian Dvorak, Joel Armia, Brendan Gallagher, and others.
