He is considered one of the team's top players, but Anthony Beauvillier will watch Saturday night's game against the New Jersey Devils from the press box. New York Islanders coach Barry Trotz has announced Beauvillier is a healthy scratch.

"Beauvillier will be scratched," said NHL.com's Brian Compton. "Trotz says others can take it a message."

Beauvillier has three goals and seven points on the season, but has done pretty much nothing for a while, failing to hit the scoresheet. In fact, the last time Beauvillier did anything offensively on the ice was on November 4th against the Montreal Canadiens, when he had three assists.

The Islanders are 6-11-5 on the season and are currently eighth in the Metropolitan Division, something that no one saw coming at the beginning of the season.
