Player agent Allan Walsh is certainly known for speaking his mind and not being one to pull his punches. You don't have to look to far to find evidence of that. You need not look any further than the infamous Marc-Andre Fleury/Pete DeBoer sword photo.

On Friday, Walsh took aim at the NHL for appearing to have not learned a thing from the Chicago Blackhawks sexual assault scandal and subsequent cover up, which led to Kyle Beach filing a lawsuit against the club.

Walsh says that sources are telling him that multiple NHL senior executives are threatening to shut out certain members of the hockey media over their involvement in and reporting of the Kyle Beach story.

You'd think that the NHL would have wanted to increased the level of transparency, rather than try to keep things hidden from the media and alienating reporters.

If true, this is a very troubling situation. Perhaps some major foundational changes are required to allow for more transparency.
