Friday was day 2 of Canada's World Junior Selection Camp in Alberta, and while talking to the media, projected first overall pick in 2022, Shane Wright, was asked about the possibility of being drafted by the Montreal Canadiens.

"I wouldn't mind that, yeah," Wright said. "That'd be an unbelievable place to play. It's obviously such a storied franchise, unbelievable city and the fans are some of the best in the league."

Wright was also asked about fan who brought a Canadiens jersey with his name and number taped on the back to one of Kingston's games in late-November.

"I mean it's pretty funny. I heard someone bang on the glass behind me, I looked back and saw a Wright #51 jersey on a Habs jersey so it was pretty funny and pretty funny someone got a picture of that as well," Wright said.

The Burlington, Ontario native had a strong start to his second season with the Kingston Frontenacs before departing for Canada's World Junior Selection Camp. In twenty-two games, Wright has 30 points (11 goals, 19 assists), twelve penalty minutes, and is a plus-four.
