On Saturday, Ottawa Senators general manager Pierre Dorion met with the media and talked about the team's poor start to the 2021-22 season.

"I've had a few sleepless nights," Dorion said. "The buck stops with me. We're going to battle through this. We've got to get out of this together."

Ottawa currently sits dead-last in the NHL standings with a record of 5-15-1 through 21 games. It's far from where Dorion thought the Senators would be at this point. Prior to the season commencing, he told reporters that in his eyes, the team's rebuild is over.

"What I should have said is all the core pieces are in place," he told reporters.

The Senators will look to turn their season around beginning tonight when they host Nathan MacKinnon and the Colorado Avalanche. Puck drop is set for 7pm ET on Sportsnet ONE.
