The Montreal Canadiens head to Nashville, Tennessee on Saturday night to take on the Predators, with an injury depleted team. Josh Anderson is out two-to-four weeks with an upper-body injury, while Jeff Petry didn't travel with the team, also due to an upper-body injury. The Canadiens called up forward Laurent Dauphin and defenceman Corey Schueneman from the Laval Rocket.

While the team is missing some key players due to injuries, they're about to get a big boost up on forward in the way of Mike Hoffman. Hoffman was placed on injured reserve on November 16th, retroactive to November 13th, with a back injury.

The Kitchener, Ontario native skated on a line with Cole Caufield and Christian Dvorak at Friday's practice, and even got some time on the powerplay, with likely signals that he will return tonight in Nashville.

Hoffman, 32, signed a three-year contract worth $13.5 million in the off-season with the Canadiens. In 13 games this season, he's recorded seven points (four goals, three assists), two penalty minutes, and is a minus-nine.

Tonight's game from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville is set for 7pm ET on CityTV and TVA Sports.
