Toronto Maple Leafs cornerstone Auston Matthews had some fun with the media in Toronto following the team's 8-3 victory over the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday.

For those who may have missed it, earlier this week after busting his goalscoring slump and getting himself back on the scoresheet, Matthews was asked by play-by-play announcer Gord Miller if he was sick of all of the talk about offensive struggles. Matthews delivered a swift and honest response declaring that he doesn't really care what the media says about the subject.

Matthews had a similar response on Wednesday when he was asked what awaits him on his day off, however this response appeared to be much more light-hearted and fun.

It certainly is refreshing to see a player of Matthews' caliber being not only honest and open with the media, but having some fun with it and showing some personality as well.

Matthews has been red hot of late, with 6 goals and 7 points in his last 4 games, including a hat trick on Wednesday against the Avs.
