USA Hockey announces 2022 World Junior camp roster

On Tuesday, USA Hockey announced its 2022 World Junior camp invitations. Thirty-one players were selected including 17 forwards, 10 defensemen, and 4 goalies.

Highlighting the group is Matty Beniers, who is one of six first-round NHL Draft picks invited to the selection camp, which will be held at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan from December 13-15.

Canada will be the host country for the 2022 tournament, scheduled for December 26 to January 5 in Red Deer and Edmonton.

The team looks solid all around, having solid forwards, defensmen, and goalies. They also have six returning players (Brock Faber, Tyler Kleven, Jake Sanderson, Matthew Beniers, Brett Berard, Landon Slaggert). Thomas Bordeleau was also selected for the 2021 team, but was unable to participate due to COVID-19. The training camp roster can be seen below.
