Perhaps you'll recall a recent story in which Anaheim Ducks rookie Trevor Zegras issued a challenge to St. Louis Blues captain Ryan O'Reilly for $100 to the winner of the opening draw, which Zegras won and O'Reilly had made good on the bet.

Well, according to Zegras during a recent appearance on Spittin Chiclets, the 20-year-old issued a similar challenge to Edmonton Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl. Draisaitl's response was priceless.

"I lean into him and I was like 'Dude, a hundred bucks, like first draw' and he looks at me and he goes 'Can you even fucking afford a hundred bucks, you rookie?' and I was like 'Dude, come on.. I can't - that's why I need to win this draw,'" Zegras said during a bit of a laughing fit.

It's a good thing for Zegras that Draisaitl didn't agree to the bet, because as Zegras noted, Draisaitl won the draw about as cleanly as a guy can and before Zegras even realized what was going on, the play was already in the Ducks' end.

Can't win em all, as they say. Zegras certainly has a very bright future ahead in Anaheim and, by all accounts, appears to be a rising star in the league.
