The USHL was recently shocked by the Omaha Lancers after several staff recently walk out due to alleged unfair policies to the players.

This included the players reportedly having to buy their own meals on the road as well as sticks, and tape. These are expenses that are typically covered in the USHL, but an executive denied this from happening on the team.

Now the USHL has provided an update regarding the team. Reps from the league and USA Hockey met with the Omaha Lancers players. They discussed the allegations, and there is an additional meeting scheduled for Sunday morning.

The league is also conducting an investigation headed by a SafeSport coordinator. They are trying to rebuild the trust between the players and the organization in order to get them playing again. Meanwhile, the Lancers have placed team President Dave Deluca on administrative leave.

Along with this, the USHL selected Josh Mervis to oversee the operations of the Lancers organization during the entirety of the investigation.
