Last week, it was revealed that the Pittsburgh Penguins were facing a lawsuit from Erin Skalde, wife of former Wilkes-Barre/Scranton assistant coach Jarrod Skalde, who was suing the team for an alleged sexual assault by Clark Donatelli, former head coach of Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, while on a road trip in 2018.

The law firm representing Erin Skalde announced on Tuesday morning that their client and the Pittsburgh Penguins have reached a resolution regarding the lawsuit. Details about the resolution will not be released according to Romanucci & Blandin Law's press release.

"We are pleased to announce the resolution of the matter involving Erin Skalde and the Pittsburgh Penguins organization, which has come to a satisfactory conclusion for all parties involved." Romanucci & Blandin Law's press release said.

Erin Skalde also released a statement in the law firm's press release.

"The events of the last three years have been deeply challenging and my hope is to now move forward as an advocate for others. I call this commitment Meaningful Life Project and my most fervent energy and efforts will be focused there to continue my personal growth, support others, and be an instrument of change."

The Pittsburgh Penguins released a statement on Tuesday morning about the resolution.

"In November 2020, Jarrod and Erin Skalde filed a lawsuit against the Penguins and the former Wilkes-Barre coach. The Penguins and Skaldes have agreed to resolve all claims. Through this resolution, the Penguins hope to bring closure to the Skaldes, provide some measure of peace, and continue to encourage and promote a culture of openness, accountability, and respect at all levels of professional sports."
