There is some cause for concern in Toronto on Saturday after Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe confirmed that newcomer Petr Mrazek is being evaluated after suffering an apparent groin injury.

The injury, according to Keefe, is the same one that had kept Mrazek sidelined for two weeks after forcing him out of his first start with the club back on October 14 against the Ottawa Senators.

There is no confirmation yet on how long Mrazek is expecting to be on the sidelines, but the 29-year-old netminder's health is certainly is a concern, especially given the fact that he was limited to just 12 games in 2020-21 with the Carolina Hurricanes.

As a result of Mrazek's injury, the Leafs have called up 23-year-old goaltending prospect Joseph Woll from the AHL's Toronto Marlies. Woll is expected to dress as the backup to Jack Campbell on Saturday night against the Boston Bruins.

In 3 starts with the Marlies this season, Woll owns a 2-1-0 record, with a 3.38 GAA to go along with a .895 SV%.
