The NHL's Department of Player Safety announced on Wednesday that New Jersey Devils defenceman P.K. Subban will have a hearing for tripping Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras.

Nearly four minutes into Tuesday's game between Anaheim and New Jersey, Ducks rookie Trevor Zegras goes to retrieve the puck from a board battle in his own zone. Subban then comes in and appears to use his left leg kick the back of Zegras' legs, causing him to fall. Subban was not assessed a penalty on the play.

This is the second time in a week that Subban will be puniched by Player Safety for a trip. Last Wednesday, the Department of Player Safety fined the 32-year-old $5,000 for a very similar play. In early-October during the pre-season, Subban got away with another "trip" on New York Rangers forward Ryan Reaves.

In eight games this season, the Toronto, Ontario native has three assists, four penalty minutes, and is a minus-two.
