Apparently, the Montreal Canadiens making it to the Stanley Cup Final really ruined Matthew Tkachuk's summer. Tkachuk said he was angry because the Habs finished just three points ahead of his Calgary Flames and went all the way to the end before losing to Tampa Bay.

"We finished the season three points behind Montreal, that's what pissed me off the most and what made me the most upset...The end of the day the team that beat us out by three points is playing in the Stanley Cup Final. I definitely didn't have the greatest summer watching them," Tkachuk said while appearing on the 32 Thoughts podcast.

Tkachuk said he realizes the Flames need to fix their issues now so they can be in contention for a run.

"It's been very average there the past however many years, I mean that's no secret. I've said it this summer, it really is time, I mean we don't have forever to change this," said Tkachuk.

"We want to win in Calgary, we love it there, I love it there, I think it's a year where something has to happen, we have to take that next step."

Tkachuk is clearly frustrated with the current situation in Calgary. Perhaps he can use that frustration to motivate himself and his teammates to be better this year.
