Canadiens cut 19 players from training camp

Ahead of Friday's morning skate, the Montreal Canadiens announced that they've cut 19 players from their training camp roster and have assigned them to the Laval Rocket for their main camp.

The following players have been assigned to Laval: Cameron Hillis, Arsen Khisamutdinov and Joel Teasdale, Louie Belpedio, Josh Brook, Xavier Ouellet, Peter Abbandonato, Cedric Desruisseaux, Justin Ducharme, Brandon Gignac, Jake Lucchini, Shawn St-Amant and Kevin Roy, Terrance Amorosa, Charles-David Beaudoin, Tory Dello, Cody Goloubef, Carl Neill, and Alexis Gravel.

Of the 19 players cut, only six of them are on NHL contracts, and they can be called up to the Canadiens at any time throughout the 2021-22 season. Those players are: Belpedio, Brook, Hillis, Khisamutdinov, Ouellet, and Teasdale.

The Canadiens will continue their pre-season on Friday night when they travel to Ottawa to take on the Senators. The lineup for tonight's game can be found below.
