Canadiens forward Cole Caufield leaves intra-squad scrimmage during warmups

The Montreal Canadiens are holding their annual Red vs White intra-squad scrimmage on Sunday afternoon, and one notable name was not on the ice when the game started despite taking part in the warmup.

Via their Twitter account, the Canadiens announced that Cole Caufield left during the warmup for precautionary reasons and is listed as day-to-day.

"Forward Cole Caufield participated in the Red vs. White intra-squad game warmups before being pulled out for precautionary reasons. He will not return and is listed as day-to-day." The Habs said.

The 20-year-old played in Montreal's pre-season opener on Saturday night in Toronto where he logged 17:23 time on-ice, three shots, and was a -1.
